Gervais agrees to terms with Nailers

WHEELING, W.Va. - The Wheeling Nailers announced the team has signed forward Kishaun Gervais to a contract for the 2026-27 season.

Gervais is entering his fourth professional season, having spent the majority of his first three years in the ECHL. He began his pro career by scoring six goals in four games for the SPHL's Birmingham Bulls, before joining the Tulsa Oilers in November 2023, and proceeding to amass 22 points (13g-9a) and 76 penalty minutes in 52 games.

The 24-year-old began the 2024-25 season in Finland, then returned to North America to rejoin the Oilers, before being traded to the Adirondack Thunder. This past season, Gervais suited up in 21 games for Adirondack, then finished the year by appearing in five games with the Kalamazoo Wings. He has totaled 51 points (27g-24a) and 223 penalty minutes in 122 career ECHL games.

Prior to turning pro, the Keeseekoose First Nation, Saskatchewan native played four seasons of junior hockey in the Western Hockey League and Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, then attended Lakehead University for one year. Gervais' best season of junior hockey came in 2021-22, when he led the SJHL's Yorkton Terriers with 22 goals, 21 assists, 43 points and 92 penalty minutes in 47 games. He added 12 points in 11 postseason contests that spring.
