JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Icemen, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Minnesota Wild and the American Hockey League’s Iowa Wild, announced that the team has agreed to terms with forward Bennett MacArthur for the 2026-27 season.
MacArthur played 42 games for the Icemen last season and garnered 36 points (13g-23a) for his best statistical season in the ECHL before an injury cut his year short. Now entering his fifth season in the ECHL, MacArthur was acquired by the Icemen in 2025 when the Buffalo Sabers, then Jacksonville’s NHL affiliate, acquired his rights from the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The 25-yeaer-old previously played with the Wheeling Nailers and Orlando Solar Bears as well as the AHL's Syracuse Crunch from 2022-25.
Before starting his professional career, the Summerside, Prince Edward Island native played with Acadie-Bathurst Titan in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League from 2020-22 recording 129 points (78g-51a) in 120 games.
