McDonald joins Knight Monsters

STATELINE, Nev. – The Tahoe Knight Monsters, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Vegas Golden Knights and the American Hockey League’s Henderson Silver Knights, announced the signing of forward Casey McDonald.

McDonald joins the Knight Monsters from the South Carolina Stingrays, where he posted three points (2g-1a) in 13 games at the end of last season.

The Kindersley, Saskatchewan native joined South Carolina after finishing his collegiate career with Long Island University, where he served as captain and tallied 10 points (4g-6a) in 31 games.

McDonald played the first three seasons of college hockey at American International College, where he was captain during the 2024-25 season. In 107 total NCAA games for the Yellow Jackets and Sharks, McDonald scored 32 points (16g-16a).

McDonald spent two seasons in the United States Hockey League with the Fargo Force from 2019-21, accumulating 26 points (9g-17a) and one season with the Penticton Vees in the British Columbia Hockey League during the 2021-22 season, ranking top five on the team in scoring.
