GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Greenville Swamp Rabbits, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Los Angeles Kings and American Hockey League’s Ontario Reign, announced the team has re-signed Joe Prouty for his first full professional season.
Prouty comes back to the Swamp Rabbits after turning professional late in the 2025-26 season. He made his professional debut on April 2, and earned his first career point, an assist, two nights later against South Carolina. Prouty finished his first professional stint with three assists in 10 games. He turned professional following his final college season at Michigan Tech, serving as alternate captain of the Huskies while setting career-highs with 12 assists and 14 points in 39 games.
From Apple Valley, Minnesota, Prouty played three prior seasons with Lindenwood University, and finished his collegiate career with 40 points (5g-35a) in 129 contests. Before going to college, he played parts of three North American Hockey League seasons with the New Mexico Ice Wolves, logging 34 points in 132 games.
