Solar Bears bring back Eddy

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Tampa Bay Lightning, announced the club has re-signed rookie forward Connor Eddy to a for the 2026-27 season. 

Eddy rejoins the Solar Bears for his first full professional season after Orlando signed him to an amateur tryout in March. In 12 games with the Solar Bears, the Victoria, British Columbia native tallied three points (1g-2a).

The 24-year-old played four seasons of college hockey, beginning at Northern Michigan University from 2022-24 and finishing up at UMass-Lowell from 2024-26. In 137 career games, Eddy scored 41 points (19g-22a) and racked up 132 penalty minutes.

Eddy played his junior hockey for the Victoria Grizzlies of the British Columbia Hockey League. In 104 games over three seasons, Eddy tallied 80 points (34g-46a), with 2021-22 being a breakout season for him, scoring 57 of his 80 career points that season.
