Hillier joins K-Wings

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo Wings, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Vancouver Canucks, announced that the team has signed rookie forward Mark Hillier to a contract for the 2026-27 season.

Hillier, 24, enters his first season of professional hockey. In 2025-26, he captained Merrimack College while tallying 10 points (6g-4a) in 37 games and leading the team to its first Hockey East championship.

A native of Labrador City, Newfoundland and Labrador, Hillier totaled 33 points (11g-22a) in 114 games at Merrimack. Before college, Hillier put up 26 points (13g-13a) in 18 games, and seven points (3g-4a) in five playoff appearances, for the Summerside Western Capitals of the Maritime Junior Hockey League.
