Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Ottawa Senators, announced that the team signed forwards Riley Kidney and Zackary Shantz for the 2026-2027 season.
Kidney had three points (2g-1a) in four postseason games for the Americans last season. The native of Enfield, Nova Scotia was selected in the second round (63rd overall) by the Montreal Canadians in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.
Shantz comes to Allen after four seasons in the Western Hockey League. Last season, he recorded 65 points in 66 games with the Everett Silvertips.
