GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro Gargoyles, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes and the American Hockey League’s Chicago Wolves, announced the team has signed goaltender Tyler Brennan, forwards Jack Seymour and Daniel Panetta, and defenseman Bryan Huggins for the 2026-27 season.
Brennan, 23, has spent the last three seasons in the New Jersey Devils organization on an NHL entry-level contract. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native was selected in the fourth round (102nd overall) by the Devils in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. Brennan has made 70 ECHL appearances with the Adirondack Thunder, posting a 27-32-7 record with a 3.20 goals-against average and .889 save percentage. Prior to turning professional, Brennan spent five seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Prince George Cougars, appearing in 96 games.
Seymour, 25, finished the 2025-26 season in Greensboro after completing his fourth collegiate season at Holy Cross, where he served as captain. The Chelsea, Quebec appeared in 14 games with the Gargoyles and recorded two points (1g-1a). In four seasons at Holy Cross, Seymour recorded 52 points (22g-30a) in 117 games.
Panetta, 25, also made his professional debut in the ECHL last season following four seasons at Colgate University. He appeared in 12 games with the Jacksonville Icemen, recording two points (1g-1a). Panetta played 132 career games with the Raiders, finishing his collegiate career with 65 points (31g-34a).
Huggins, 24, joined the Gargoyles for Greensboro’s final weekend of the 2025-26 season, signing a contract for the final three games. Huggins made an immediate impact in his professional debut on April 4, recording two assists and a +3 rating against Norfolk. The Grand Rapids, Michigan native finished his senior season at Lake Superior State with seven points (1g-6a). Over 125 career collegiate games, Huggins recorded 18 points (2g-16a). Prior to college, Huggins played two seasons in the North American Hockey League with the Austin Bruins and Kenai River Brown Bears, while also seeing action in the United States Hockey League with the Muskegon Lumberjacks and Fargo Force.
