BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Bloomington Bison announced the signing of former National Hockey League forward and two-time KHL champion, Vladislav Kamenev, to a contract for the 2026-27 season.
The 30-year-old most recently served as an alternate captain for the KHL’s CSKA Moskva and has amassed 136 points (67g-69a) in 292 career regular-season games in his native country’s top league.
Kamenev was named to the 2024-25 KHL All-Star Game and won back-to-back Gagarin Cup Championships in the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons. In 74 KHL postseason games, he contributed 37 points (20g-17a).
A native of Orsk, Russia, Kamenev was selected by the Nashville Predators in the second round (42nd overall) of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft and earned a spot in the 2015-16 American Hockey League All-Star Game during his rookie season in North America. In all, he has registered 39 goals and 105 points (39g-66a) in 146 career AHL contests.
Kamenev made his NHL debut Jan. 6, 2017 against the Florida Panthers and played in two games with Nashville before being traded to the Colorado Avalanche, with whom he played 64 more NHL games. Kamenev scored 13 points (3g-10a) with Colorado.
In national play, Kamenev captained the Russian U20 team during the 2015-16 IIHF World Junior Championship and earned a Silver Medal, which he also won the year prior. He was also the captain of the 2013-14 Russia U18 team and played for his country in the 2020-21 IIHF World Championship.
