Shane Owen of the Indy Fuel is the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Jan. 4-10. It is the second time in his career that he has received the weekly honor.The 25-year-old went 2-0-0 with one shutout, a 1.00 goals-against average and a save percentage of .973 in two appearances last week.Owen stopped all 32 shots he faced in a 3-0 win over Evansville on Saturday and made a season-high 39 saves in a 3-2 victory at Wheeling on Sunday.A native of Shanty Bay, Ontario., Owen is 7-12-0 in 20 appearances with the Fuel this season with one shutout, a 2.36 goals-against average and a save percentage of .920.Owen has appeared in 116 career ECHL games with Indy, Stockton, Utah, Alaska, South Carolina and Florida posting an overall record of 43-51-4 with four shutouts, a 2.98 goals-against average and a save percentage of .905.During his junior career, he helped Moncton claim the 2010 QMJHL President’s Cup title and a spot in the Memorial Cup Finals.
