Jack Campbell of the Idaho Steelheads is the Warrior Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Month for January.The 24-year-old went 8-3-0 with three shutouts, a 1.27 goals-against average and a save percentage of .956 in 11 appearances during the month.Campbell allowed two goals or less in eight of his 11 games and nine times made at least 25 saves. He recorded back-to-back 1-0 shutouts on Jan. 2 against Colorado and Jan. 8 against Utah and posted his third shutout of the month in a 2-0 victory at Alaska on Jan. 22.Selected by the Dallas Stars in the first round (11th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Campbell has appeared in 19 career ECHL games with the Steelheads posting an overall record of 14-5-0 with four shutouts, a 1.52 goals-against average and a save percentage of .949. He has also appeared in 115 career AHL games with Texas and in one NHL game with Dallas.A native of Port Huron, Mich., Campbell represented Team USA at three straight IIHF World U-20 Championships (2010, 2011 and 2012), winning a gold medal in 2010 and bronze in 2011. He was named the 2011 IIHF World U-20 Championships “Best Goalkeeper” and a tournament all-star.
