ECHL and TeamWork Online to host Career Fair & Symposium

The ECHL and TeamWork Online have joined forces to host the Fifth Annual ECHL Career Fair & Symposium on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, in Las Vegas at the Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino in conjunction with the 2016 ECHL Sales, Marketing and Communication Meetings presented by Essensa.

The ECHL Symposium will allow selected candidates to network and interview with Team Presidents and Sales Directors from around the hockey industry including over 12 ECHL Teams, as well as representatives from the NHL, SPHL, and USHL. Additionally, the event will feature constructive resume and interviewing workshops conducted by TeamWork Online, as well as an introductory Sports Sales training hosted by the newly formed Accelerated Sports Career Academy from Los Angeles, Calif.

“This year’s ECHL Career Fair & Symposium is poised to be our most successful to date,” said Ryan Crelin, Senior Vice President of Business Operations for the ECHL. “With the added value of having on-site sales training and resume workshops, as well as the opportunity to network and interview with representatives from multiple hockey leagues, this event serves to be an excellent launching point for candidates looking to begin their career in sports.”

There are not many other events like this in the country.

About the ECHL

Began in 1988-89 with five teams in four states, the ECHL has grown into a coast-to-coast league with 28 teams in 21 states and one Canadian province for its 28th season in 2015-16. There have been $2 who have gone on to play in the National Hockey League after starting their careers in the ECHL, including 30 who have made their NHL debuts in the 2015-16 season. The ECHL has affiliations with 25 of the 30 NHL teams in 2015-16, marking the 19th consecutive season that the league had affiliations with at least 20 teams in the NHL.
