Greenville, S.C. – The Greenville Swamp Rabbits, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's New York Rangers and the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, announced rookie forward Tommy Thompson has agreed to terms with the team for the 2016-17 season.Thompson, 25, began his professional career with Greenville near the end of last season following a four-year career at St. Lawrence University. He debuted on March 25 at Florida and went on to record two goals and two penalty minutes in eight contests, including his first professional tally on April 2.A native of Londonderry, N.H., Thompson collected 57 points (26g-31a) and 100 penalty minutes in 141 career games at St. Lawrence. He ranked third on the team in scoring as a junior with a career-best 23 points (9g-14a) and finished fifth on the club in scoring as a senior while also serving as an alternate captain.
