Adirondack agrees to terms with Tim Boyle

Glens Falls, N.Y. - The Adirondack Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, announced that they have signed defenseman Tim Boyle to a contract for the 2017-18 season.

Boyle appeared in 19 ECHL games last season in stints with Wheeling, Greenville and Norfolk. The 24-year-old collected seven points (0g-7a) in the ECHL and added seven points (2g-5a) in 13 games with the SPHL’s Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs.  Boyle’s most productive ECHL stint came with Wheeling as he amassed a +9 rating in 10 games with the Nailers and earned his first career three-point game on Jan. 20 against Norfolk.

The Hingham, Mass. native appeared in 42 regular-season contests with the Mississippi RiverKings during the 2015-16 season in addition to four playoff games, where he collected three points (1g-2a). Prior to beginning his professional career, Boyle played one season at Union College, where he helped the Dutchmen qualify for the 2013 NCAA Tournament. Boyle was selected by the Ottawa Senators in the fourth round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft and is the younger brother of New Jersey Devils center Brian Boyle.
