Defenseman Corrin returns to Beast

BRAMPTON, Ontario - The Brampton Beast, ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, announced that defenseman Willie Corrin has re-signed with the club for the 2017-18 season.

Corrin was one of the Beast's top defensemen a season ago, scoring 26 points (10g-16a) in 40 games with the Beast.

The 26-year-old posted a +12 rating in his 40 games with the Beast and netted two game-winning goals in 2016-17, which tied him with Jordan Henry for the most among Beast defensemen.

His 10 goals were tied for sixth among ECHL rookie defensemen while his 26 points placed him among the top 20 first-year blue-liners.

Since graduating from the University of Minnesota-Duluth following the 2015-16 season, Corrin also appeared in eight games with the American Hockey League's Toronto Marlies and another three games with the ECHL's Orlando Solar Bears.
