Eick re-signs with Grizzlies, named team captain

West Valley City, Utah – Utah Grizzlies Head Coach/General Manager Tim Branham announced that forward C.J. Eick has been re-signed for the 2017-18 season and also been named the team’s captain.

The Grizzlies are the ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League and the San Diego Gulls of the American Hockey League.

Eick enters his second full pro season after totaling 21 points (10g-11a) in 64 games as an alternate captain for the team in 2016-17. He added three points (2g-1a) in five playoff games.

The Wisconsin native joined the Grizzlies late during the 2015-16 season after finishing his four year college career at Michigan Tech. He played in the final seven regular-season games and had two assists and then totaled one goal and one assist in 10 playoff games. In addition, Eick has served as an instructor at Branham Hockey Schools in Wisconsin for the last six years.
