ESTERO, Fla. – Florida Everblades President & General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph announced that defenseman Clark Seymour has agreed to terms with the team for the 2017-18 season.
The Everblades are the ECHL affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League and the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League.
Seymour, 24, joins the Everblades after recording 19 points (1g-18a) in 52 games played with Bolzano HC (Austria) last season. From 2014-16, he registered 37 points (10g-27a) in 92 appearances with the Wheeling Nailers. During that same stretch, Seymour also logged seven points (3g-4a) in 29 games played with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL.
Prior to his professional career, Seymour played five seasons in the Ontario Hockey League split between the Kingston Frontenacs and the Peterborough Petes. The Brockville, Ontario native was a fifth-round selection of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
