Hunt is first player signed by IceMen

Jacksonville, Fla. – The Jacksonville IceMen today introduced the first player to sign with team, left winger Garet Hunt.

The IceMen are the ECHL affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League and the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League.

A native of Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Hunt is a former captain of the Alaska Aces and Stockton Thunder is a fan favorite due to his rugged style of play.

In 565 ECHL games, he has accumulated 124 points (79g-45a) and ranks fifth in ECHL history with 2,177 penalty minutes.

He began his pro career in 2008-09 with Stocktonand he has also seen American Hockey League action with Springfield and Worcester.
