ESTERO, Fla. – Florida Everblades President & General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph announced that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Zack Kamrassfor the 2017-18 season.
The Everblades are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes and the American Hockey League's Charlotte Checkers.
Kamrass,26, returns for his second season with the Everblades after recording career highs in points (37), goals (6) and assists (31) in 58 games last season. In addition, Kamrass logged six assists in 14 playoff appearances this past spring.
Prior to joining Florida, Kamrass recorded 29 points (6g-23a) in 68 games with the Idaho Steelheads during the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons. Kamrass also appeared in one game with the American Hockey League’s Texas Stars during the 2015-16 season.
Prior to his professional career, the Atlanta native totaled 64 career points (13g-51a) during his four seasons at UMass-Lowell from 2011-15.
