Neuber, Rissling join Americans

Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced the signing of forward Kyle Neuber and defenseman Jaynen Rissling.

Neuber, who missed almost all of last season with an injury, is back after playing parts of two seasons with the Americans. Neuber adds toughness to the Allen lineup along with the ability to contribute offensively. He selected by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the seventh round (197th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. In eight games for Allen, he has two points (1g-1a) and 18 penalty minutes.

Rissling was selected in the seventh round (197th overall) by the Washington Capitals in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. He played in 113 games with the Cincinnati Cyclones over the last three seasons and posted 28 points (7g-21a) in 66 games last year for Cincinnati. Rissling also has seen action in five career games in the American Hockey League with Milwaukee. The native of Edmonton, Alberta played his junior hockey with the Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League.
