Thrower brothers join forces in Allen

Thrower brothers join forces in Allen

Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced the signing of brothers,  Josh and Dalton Thrower, to contracts for the 2017-2018 season.

Josh Thrower will enter his first season in pro hockey after wrapping up five seasons of major junior hockey in the Western Hockey League, appearing in 309 games with Calgary, Tri-City, Vancouver and Moose Jaw. He enjoyed his best offensive season last year with Moose Jaw, posting 20 points (2g-18a) in 67 games.

Dalton Thrower was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the second round (51st overall) in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. The native of Vancouver, British Columbia has played his entire ECHL career with the Brampton Beast tallying 12 points (4g-8a) and adding 212 penalty minutes in 81 games for the Beast. He has also appeared in nine American Hockey League games with St. John's.
