Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans announced the club has signed forwards Peter MacArthur and Tyler Coulter to contracts for the 2017-18 season.
MacArthur spent the last two seasons with the Adirondack Thunder, putting up seasons of 63 points in 63 games last year and 36 points in 46 games two seasons ago. The resident of Clifton Park, N.Y, will turn 33 years of age this June.
He played his college hockey at Boston University, where he led his team in scoring three out of the four years including a 45-point season in 2007-08.
Coulter is coming off a successful junior career in the Western Hockey League with the Brandon Wheat Kings, where he averaged 44 points per season for his four years. His best numbers came in 2016-17 when he had 63 points in 66 games.
The native of Brandon, Manitoba, turned 21-years-old on Sept. 10. He had 100 penalty minutes last season for the Wheat Kings, and averaged just under 52 penalty minutes per season over four years of junior hockey.
