WINDSOR, Colo. – The Colorado Eagles, ECHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, announced that they have signed defenseman C.J. Garcia for the 2017-18 season. The Eagles obtained the rights to Garcia in a future considerations trade with the Wheeling Nailers last June.

Garcia appeared in three games with the Nailers late last season as an amateur, after wrapping up a five-year career in the Ontario Hockey League with the Saginaw Spirit, Guelph Storm and Barrie Colts. He notched 77 points (16g-61a) and 202 penalty minutes in 268 total contests. He served as team captain for the Storm and was as an alternate captain in his final year with the Spirit.
