Higby back for third season with Grizzlies

West Valley City, Utah – Utah Grizzlies Head Coach/General Manager Tim Branham announced that the team has re-signed forward/defenseman Erik Higby for the 2017-18 season.

The Grizzlies are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Anaheim Ducks and the American Hockey League's San Diego Gulls.

Higby enters his third year in Utah after scoring 24 points (14g-10a) in 45 games last year. He had 28 points (14g-14a) in 64 games with the Grizzlies in 2015-16.

Higby, who spent the offseason training in Utah and working with Branham at his Hockey School, has played both forward and defense with Utah the last two seasons.
