MANCHESTER, N.H. - Manchester Monarchs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Rich Seeley announced that Kevin Morris has signed a contract for the 2017-18 season.
The Monarchs are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Los Angeles Kings and the American Hockey League's Ontario Reign.
Morris, 24, returns to the Monarchs for the start of his second full professional season, after scoring 36 points (16g-20a) in 66 games for the Monarchs last year. Morris led the Monarchs with 93 penalty minutes in the regular season, and added nine points (5g-4a) in 19 Kelly Cup Playoff games.
The native of Massena, N.Y., began his professional career after spending four years at Miami University, and played six games for the Monarchs in 2015-16, scoring two goals. In his career, Morris has received two calls to the AHL by the Binghamton Senators and Syracuse Crunch, appearing in four combined games.
