Boise, Idaho – Idaho Steelheads Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham announced that the team has agreed to terms with rookies Alexander Dahl and Daniel Tedesco on contracts for the 2017-18 season.
The Steelheads are the ECHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League and the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League.
Dahl, 24, has played the last four seasons at St. Lawrence University. The Eau Claire, Wis. native served as captain last season during his senior year, notching nine points (1g-8a) in 37 games. He also served as an alternate captain in 2015-16. Dahl totaled 31 points (10g-21a) and 55 penalty minutes in 118 college games. Dahl is the younger brother of Steelheads captain Jefferson Dahl.
Tedesco, 23, played the last four seasons at St. Cloud State University, where he had eight points (2g-6a) in 29 games as a senior last year. The native of Vaughan, Ontario also appeared in two games with the Wichita Thunder last spring following the end of his college season, earning four penalty minutes. In 98 college games, Tedesco recorded 24 points (8g-16a) along with 55 penalty minutes. He was a member of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference championship team at St. Cloud State in 2016.
