WINDSOR, Colo. – The Colorado Eagles, ECHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, announced that they have agreed to terms with veteran defenseman Teigan Zahn for the 2017-18 season.
Zahn posted 13 points (3g-10a) and 219 penalty minutes in 68 regular-season games with Colorado last season. He went on to generate five assists and 16 penalty minutes in 20 playoff contests, en route to the Kelly Cup championship.
Zahn was a fifth-round selection (132nd overall) of the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft and has registered 44 points (10g-34a) and 686 penalty minutes in his three seasons with the Eagles. The Regina, Saskatchewan native previously served as the captain of the Saskatoon Blades of the Western Hockey League and also boasts 13 games of AHL experience with the Oklahoma City Barons and Norfolk Admirals.
