The ECHL on Monday announced the following fines and suspensions.
Worcester’s Cornell fined, suspended
Worcester’s Mike Cornell has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #888, Worcester at Reading, on March 24.
Cornell was assessed a game misconduct for aggressor under Rule #46.2 at 18:50 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.
Cornell will miss Worcester’s game against Adirondack on March 28.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
Idaho’s Dodero fined, suspended
Idaho’s Charlie Dodero has been suspended for four games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #880, Rapid City at Idaho, on March 24.
Dodero was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for charging under Rule #42.5 at 8:58 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.
Dodero will miss Idaho’s games vs. Utah (March 30 and March 31), at Tulsa (April 4) and at Allen (April 6).

Quad City’s Novak fined, suspended
Quad City’s Kyle Novak has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #893, Quad City at Tulsa, on March 25.
Novak was assessed a match penalty for slew-footing under Rule #52.2 at 7:35 of the second period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.
Novak will miss Quad City’s game at Rapid City on March 30.
