A spot opposite the Newfoundland Growlers in the 2019 Kelly Cup Finals presented by SmileDirectClub is on the line on Wednesday when the Tulsa Oilers host the Toledo Walleye at the BOK Center in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals. The 46th Game 7 in ECHL postseason history, and the 22nd over the last five playoff seasons, faces off at 7:05 p.m. CT and you can catch all of the action LIVE on ECHL.TV.
Tulsa forced the deciding game with a 4-2 win at Toledo on Monday. After the home team won each of the first four games in the series, the visiting team has posted victories in each of the last two games.
Wednesday will be Tulsa's second Game 7 of the 2019 postseason. The Oilers defeated Kansas City 6-2 in the Mountain Division Semifinals.
Toledo will be playing in a Game 7 for the sixth time in team history, and for the first time on the road. The Walleye defeated Wheeling in the 2015 North Division Semifinals, Fort Wayne in the 2015 North Division Finals and Kalamazoo in the 2017 Central Division Semfinals while falling to South Carolina in the 2015 Eastern Conference Finals and to Reading in the 2016 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.
The home team is 32-13 all-time in ECHL Game 7s and has won 19 of the last 25. Ten Game 7s have gone beyond regulation, with four being decided in two overtimes and one in three overtimes. The home team has won eight of the 10 games decided in overtime.
