Cincinnati, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones have signed forward Cory Wardto a contract for the 2019-20 season. 

The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Buffalo Sabres and the American Hockey League's Rochester Americans.

Hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada, Ward appeared in 71 games with the Manchester Monarchs last season, accounting for 34 points (15g-19a) along with 20 penalty minutes. He recorded seven multi-point efforts, including a season-high three points on two separate occasions. He also appeared in 11 playoff games with Manchester, potting three points (1g-2a). 

The entirety of Ward's ECHL career has been spent with the Monarchs, accounting for86 points (39g-47a) in 161 career games. He has also seen 33 career games in the AHL with the Ontario Reign, Springfield Thunderbirds, St. John's IceCaps and Syracuse Crunch, totaling five points (1g-4a) in that time. 

Prior to turning pro, Ward enjoyed a successful collegiate career at Bemidji State University. In 151 games across four seasons with the Beavers, Ward was responsible for 80 points (45g-35a), and was in the top six on the team in scoring every season. Additionally, he led the Beavers in scoring during his sophomore season with 29 points (18g-11a).
