Saulnier joins Rush for rookie season

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Rush announced that forward Brennan Saulnier has signed with the team for the 2019-20 season.

Saulnier spent last season playing in Europe. He began last season with IFK Munkfors in Division 2 in Sweden, tallying 30 points (14g-16a) in 11 games, before earning a call-up to Division 1, where he joined Morrums GolS, and added seven points (3g-4a) in 17 games.

A native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Saulnier began his professional career in the 2017-18 season as a member of the Atlanta Gladiators, appearing in three games. This came following his college hockey career, where he played at the University of Alabama-Huntsville, where he registered 56 points (21g-35a). Heading into his senior season at UAH, Saulnier was invited to the Montreal Canadiens NHL Development Camp as an undrafted camp invitee.
