BOISE, Idaho – The Idaho Steelheads have agreed to terms with rookie forward Matt Lippafor the 2019-20 season.
The Steelheads are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Dallas Stars and the American Hockey League's Texas Stars.
Lippa, 24, concluded his collegiate career with Manhattanville College during the 2018-19 season, boasting 48 points (21g-27a) in 32 games, earning All-USCHO.com Second Team and United Collegiate Hockey Conference Co-Player of the Year honors. The Richmond Hill, Ontario native served as an alternate captain during the 2018-19 season, and he skated in 107 games during his four-year collegiate career, tallying 118 points (60g-58a) while tabbing back-to-back 30-point seasons and leading the roster in scoring during his junior and senior campaigns.
Prior to his collegiate career, Lippa played for the Oakville Blades of the Ontario Junior Hockey League during the 2014-15 season, posting 46 points (22g-24a) in 51 games, leading the Blades in goals, power-play goals and points.
