INDIANAPOLIS – The Indy Fuel, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Chicago Blackhawks and the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs, announced that they have signed forward Thomas Ebbing to a contract for the 2020-21 season.
Ebbing, 25, signs with the Fuel after splitting the 2019-20 season with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits and Reading Royals. Skating in 49 ECHL games last season, Ebbing tallied 27 points (12g-15a) and a +15 rating. The native of Troy, Michigan has skated in 51 AHL games over two seasons with the Laval Rocket, registering six points (2g-4a) and 17 penalty minutes.
Prior to turning pro, Ebbing played four seasons at Michigan State where he earned 55 points (14g-41a) in 143 career games with the Spartans. Before attending Michigan State, Ebbing played one season for the Chicago Steel of the United States Hockey League where he scored 26 points (16g-10a), earning a spot in the 2012-13 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game.
