Van Os inks deal with Admirals

Norfolk, Va. - The Norfolk Admirals, ECHL affiliate of the National hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes and American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves, announced that forward Brett Van Os has signed a contract with the club for the 2022-23 season.

The St. Albert, Alberta completed his first season as a professional in 2021-22, spending the year with three ECHL clubs. Van Os began the campaign with the Cincinnati Cyclones, posting seven points (3g-4a) in 17 games. On January 2, he was sent to the Rapid City Rush where he ended up playing in 33 games and registering 20 points (8g-12a).

On March 31, Van Os was traded to Norfolk, along with Elijah Vilio, in exchange for defenseman Kyle Rhodes. He finished his season by posting one goal in eight games with the Admirals.

Van Os played in 80 games over four seasons at Western Michigan University from 2017-21 before turning pro last season.
