Admirals agree to terms with Leitner

Admirals agree to terms with Leitner

Norfolk, Va. - The Norfolk Admirals, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes and American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves, announced that defenseman Nick Leitner has signed a contract with the club for the 2022-23 season.

The Bemidji, Minnesota product played his 2021-22 season with the Knoxville Ice Bears in the Southern Professional Hockey League, where he posted four points (1g-3a) in 12 games.

Prior to tunring pro, Leitner spent the 2019-20 season with Bemidji State University, scoring one goal in five games. From 2016-19, he totaled 36 points (7g-29a) in 145 with Des Moines and Green Bay of the United States Hockey League, and served as Green Bay's captain during the 2018-19 campaign.
