Hollowell makes NHL debut

Hollowell makes NHL debut

Former Newfoundland Growlers' defenseman Mac Hollowell became the 729th former ECHL player to reach the National Hockey League when he debuted with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday at New Jersey.

Hollowell is the second former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2022-23 season. He recorded 13 points (3g-10a) in 19 games with the Growlers during the 2019-20 season.

A fourth-round selection (118th overall) of the Maple Leafs in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, Hollowell has posted 57 points (10g-47a) in 117 career games with Toronto of the American Hockey League.
