Brazeau makes NHL debut

Former Newfoundland Growlers and Maine Mariners forward Justin Brazeau became the 747th former ECHL player to reach the National Hockey League when he debuted with the Boston Bruins on Monday against Dallas, scoring his first NHL goal in the Bruins 4-3 shootout win. 

Brazeau is the seventh former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2023-24 season. He made his pro debut with the Growlers during the 2019-20 season, posting 55 points (27g-28a) in 57 games and then tallied 20 points (10g-10a) in 18 games with the Mariners during the 2021-22 season.

A native of New Liskard, Ontario, Brazeau has totaled 118 points (53g-65a) in 189 career American Hockey League games wtih Toronto and Providence.
