Coralville, Iowa – The Iowa Heartlanders have signed forward Nico Blachman to a contract for the 2024-25 season.
Blachman, 26, played in 13 games last season for Iowa, registering one assist and 69 penalty minutes. In total last season, he posted six points (3g-3a) in 45 games with the Heartlanders, Adirondack and Kalamazoo, while ranking third in the ECHL with 188 penalty minutes.
Blachman led the ECHL with 265 penalty minutes in 2022-23 and has career totals of 18 points (8g-10a) and 567 penalty minutes in 116 games.
