Farmer returns to Americans

Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Utah Hockey Club, announced the signing of defenseman Ty Farmer for the 2024-25 season.

Farmer has played in 58 total games for the Americans since joining the team late in the 2022-23 season. The resident of O’Fallon, Missouri had 10 points (5g-5a) in 48 regular-season games last season.

He played collegiate hockey at UMass-Amherst from 201922, and one season at the University of North Dakota in 2022-23 before turning pro.  

The 26-year-old played five seasons in the United States Hockey League, with time split between Youngstown, Muskegon and Fargo. His best numbers came with Fargo in 2017-2018 when he had 39 points in 58 games.
