Coralville, Iowa – The Iowa Heartlanders have signed forwards Ryan Miotto and Zach Dubinsky to contracts for the 2024-25 season.
The tandem played together at the University of Vermont last season. Miotto contributed 17 points (9g-8a), while Dubinsky tallied 11 points (2g-9a).
Miotto, 24, transferred to Vermont for his fifth NCAA season after four seasons at Canisius. The Thorold, Ontario native won the Atlantic Hockey championship with Canisius in 2022-23, led the team with 17 goals and was second on the squad with 35 points. Prior to his NCAA tenure, he won the 2018 RBC Cup with Chilliwack. Miotto made his pro debut at the end of the 2023-24 season, skating in five games with Wheeling.
Dubinsky, a Highland Park, Illinois native, skated for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (2021-22), Michigan State (2022-23) and Vermont (2023-24) during the last three seasons. He was an alternate captain for the Catamounts last season. In total, he scored 48 points (15g-33a) in 133 career collegiate games. His best offensive season came for RPI in 2021-22 when he notched 20 points (10g-10a).
