Preston returns to K-Wings

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo Wings, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Vancouver Canucks, announced that forward Quinn Preston has signed a contract for the 2024-25 season.

Preston, 26, was acquired via trade with Wichita on March 5 and played 16 regular-season games (3g-7a) for Kalamazoo last season, recording 10 points (3g-7a). Preston tallied 12 points (3g-9a) in 18 games for the Thunder prior to the trade after starting the season with Belfaast of the Elite Ice Hockey League, where he put up 22 points (12g-10a) in 26 games.

The third-year pro scored 61 points (23g-38a) with Wichita as a rookie in 2022-23.

Preston suited up in 127 games across four seasons at Ohio State from 2018-22, scoring 72 points (33g-39a) and amassing 116 penalty minutes during that time. He served as an alternate captain in his final two seasons before joining the Toledo Walleye at the end of the 2021-22 season, posting seven points (2g-5a) in 13 games.
