GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Greenville Swamp Rabbits, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Los Angeles Kings, announced that veteran forward Tyson Fawcett has signed with the team for the 2024-25 season.
Fawcett was acquired at the conclusion of the season from the Reading Royals to complete a future considerations trade. He spent all of last season with the Royals, his first season in the ECHL since the 2018-19 campaign, compiling 26 points (11g-15a) in 72 games.
A native of Barrie, Ontario, Fawcett made his return to the ECHL last season following four years in England with the Elite Ice Hockey League’s Manchester Storm, where he totaled 78 points (38g-40a) in 154 games. The vast majority of his experience comes in the ECHL, where he’s played 368 games and earned 148 points with Brampton, Evansville, Tulsa, Jacksonville, Elmira, Fort Wayne, Atlanta and Reading. In addition to two American Hockey League games with Rochester and his time overseas, Fawcett has played a career total 524 games with 226 points (103g-123a).
Prior to turning professional, he played two seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with his hometown Barrie Colts, registering 75 points (35g-40a) in 130 career games. He also spent three seasons in the Ontario Junior Hockey League with the Orangeville Crushers and Flyers, Huntsville Otters and Georgetown Raiders, putting up 105 points (46g-59a) in 121 career games.
