McNamee signs with Gladiators

Duluth, Ga. – The Atlanta Gladiators announced that the club has signed forward Mike McNamee for the 2025-26 season.

McName returns to professional hockey after spending the last four years as a musician with the band Boston Levi, and serving as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Carleton University. The native of Perth, Ontario, has played professionally in the American Hockey League, DEL2, Elite Ice Hockey League, ECHL and in Denmark. 

Hi most recent stint in pro hockey came with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits during the 2021-22 season. In 10 games, he posted four points (2g-2a) before announcing his retirement to focus on his growing music career with Boston Levi. The 32-year-old has totaled 119 points (52g-67a) in 140 career professional games.

The product of Carleton University completed his collegiate career in 2017 with 134 points (50g-84a) in 102 career games and signed with the AHL's Syracuse Crunch for the remainder of the season. He then played professionally prior to returning to Carleton to coach.
