Mashsie signs with Rush

RAPID CITY, S.D. - The Rapid City Rush, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Calgary Flames, announced the club has signed Ryan Mahshie for the 2026-27 season.

Mahshie, 27, recorded 17 points (6g-11a) in 45 games with the Wheeling Nailers last season. The Rush acquired his rights on June 20 to complete the future considerations portion of the March 13 trade which also sent Eric Parker and Cole Tymkin to Rapid City.

The native of Stoney Creek, Ontario has accumulated 26 points (11g-15a) in 119 total ECHL games between Orlando, Allen, Worcester and Wheeling.

Mahshie is no stranger to Rush Head Coach Dave Smith, having played three seasons under him at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute before finishing his collegiate career at the University of Connecticut.
