PORTLAND, Maine – The Maine Mariners, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Boston Bruins and American Hockey League's Providence Bruins, have re-signed defenseman Owen Gallatin. A rookie in 2025-26, Gallatin originally joined the Mariners last November.
Acquired in a trade from the Fort Wayne Komets in early November 2025, Gallatin became a regular on the Mariners blue line for the remainder of the season. He appeared in 46 games for Maine, scoring his first two professional goals, and adding 15 assists. His second goal came in overtime on March 8th vs. Adirondack, clinching the Mariners’ 10th win in a row on their memorable 11-game winning streak.
The 24-year-old appeared in all 14 games of the Mariners’ 2026 Kelly Cup Playoff run, posting seven points (2g-5a).
Prior to coming to Maine, Gallatin skated in 10 regular-season games and two playoff contests for Fort Wayne between 2024-25 and 2025-26. He played collegiately at the University of Minnesota-Duluth from 2021-25.
