WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's San Jose Sharks and American Hockey League's San Jose Barracuda, announced the signing of forward Pavel Mckenzie for the 2026-27 season.
Mckenzie, 20, turns pro after spending the last three years in the Western Hockey League with Moose Jaw. He racked up 66 points (17g-49a) in 65 games while leading the team in assists and second in points.
Overall, he recorded 149 points (49g-100a) in 196 career games for the Warriors. Mckenzie helped Moose Jaw win a WHL title in 2023-24 and appeared in four games in the Memorial Cup.
