INDIANAPOLIS – The Indy Fuel, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Chicago Blackhawks and the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs, announced that they have re-signed forward Seamus Malone to a contract for the 2021-22 season.
Malone re-signs with the Fuel after playing 13 games during the 2020-21 season. Before having his season cut short due to injury, the 25-year-old registered five assists and 10 penalty minutes. Before signing with the Fuel last season, Malone played 35 games for the AHL’s Utica Comets in 2019-20, tallying five points (4g-1a).
Prior to turning pro, Malone spent four years at the University of Wisconsin where he played in 143 games, earning 104 points (33g-71a). Serving as the Badgers’ alternate captain during his senior year, Malone finished tied for first in points with eight goals and 18 assists in 37 games.
