Adirondack signs Brand, Polino

GLENS FALLS, N.Y. – The Adirondack Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's New Jersey Devils and American Hockey League's Utica Comets, have announced that the club has signed forwards Chase Brand and Patrick Polino to contracts for the 2024-25 season.

Brand, 25, played in seven games last season with the Reading Royals after finishing his fifth year of college. The Nevis, Minnesota native played in 117 games with St. Cloud State University and 30 games with Augustana University, totaling 46 points (19g-27a) in 147 career collegiate games.

Polino, 29, was acquired from the Cincinnati Cyclones and spent the last three seasons in Cincinnati, finishing third on the team with 58 points (23g-35a) in 72 games last season. In 170 career regular-season games with the Cyclones, Polino has 136 points (54g-82a). The Buffalo, New York native has played in 36 AHL games with Rochester and Providence, recording nine points (5g-4a). Prior to his professional career, Polino played four seasons at Rensselaer Polytechnical Institute where he tallied 52 points (24g-28a) in 131 games.
