The Manchester Monarchs defeated the Adirondack Thunder 6-5 in overtime on Tuesday in Game 6 of the North Division Semifinals. With the win, Manchester advances to the North Division Finals where it will meet Brampton, who eliminated Reading in six games on Monday.
The Monarchs trailed 4-3 entering the third period on Tuesday, but got the equalizer from Tyler Sikura just 26 seconds into the final frame and went ahead on a Zac Lynch tally at 10:04. The Thunder forced overtime when Patch Alber scored with 2:34 remaining in regulation. In the extra session, the Monarchs' Cory Ward scored off of a face-off win at the 2:57 mark to give Manchester the win.
Matt Leitner (3g-4a) and Quentin Shore (2g-5a) led Manchester in the series with seven points each while Sam Brittain went 4-2 with a 2.34 goals-against average and a save percentage of .921. Dennis Kravchenko led the way for Adirondack with four goals and five points.
