Stingrays move on to South Division Finals

The South Carolina Stingrays defeated the Greenville Swamp Rabbits 4-0 on Monday in Game 6 of the South Division Semifinals. With the win, South Carolina advances to the South Division Finals where it will meet the winner of the Florida/Orlando series. The Solar Bears lead that series 3 games to 2 with Game 6 in Florida on Tuesday.

Derek Arnold, John Parker, Patrick Gaul and Rob Flick scored goals in the series clincher for South Carolina while Parker Milner stopped all 26 shots he faced to record his second shutout of the series.

Flick led South Carolina in the series with six goals and nine points while Kelly Zajac (4g-3a) and Joe Devin (2g-5a) added seven points each. Milner went 4-2 with a 2.17 goals-against average and a save percentage of .923. Greenville was led by Allan McPherson's eight points (2g-6a).

Monday's win was the Stingrays' fourth straight in the series after dropping the first two games. This marks the third straight season that South Carolina has reached at least the second round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs after falling to Allen in the 2015 Kelly Cup Finals and to Wheeling in the 2016 Eastern Conference Finals.
